The Sun Belt Conference recently named 56 UA Little Rock student-athletes to its Commissioner's List. The Commissioner's List recognizes student-athletes with a GPA above 3.5.

McKendree University welcomes the Class of 2021 to its Lebanon, Illinois, and Kentucky campuses; the Center at Scott Air Force Base; and online. The incoming class represents 28 states and 21 countries.

Some 3,500 students graduated during RIT's 132nd commencement celebration, held in May.

New Student Orientation leaders at McKendree University help introduce first-year students to life at college. NSO leaders are upperclassmen who oversee small groups and lead fun social activities, educational programs and volunteer service. They also serve as peer mentors during University 101 classes held throughout the year.

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

McKendree University students are gaining valuable experience and linking course work to their future careers by participating in the Career Services internship program this summer.

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

William Woods University is proud to report that a total of 221 students were named to the Dean's List for academic excellence during the 2017 spring semester. To be included on the Dean's List, a student must be full-time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. Congratulations to students on the McKendree University Dean's List for earning a grade point average of 3.60 or higher for the spring 2017 semester.

The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced its dean's list, recognizing students' superior academic performance during the spring 2017 semester. To be included, students must have at least nine credit hours with a grade of A, B, C, or "credit" and at least a 3.5 GPA. Students must not have D, F, I, or "no credit" grades on the semester grade report to be eligible.

A total of 830 students have been named to the Carthage College Dean's List for the Spring 2017 semester.

The University of Alabama has inducted 41 students into its chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. UA recently inducted 43 College of Arts and Sciences students into its chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Founded on December 5, 1776, The Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's most prestigious academic honor society. It has chapters at 286 colleges and universities in the United States, 50 alumni associations, and more than half a million members worldwide. Noteworthy members include 17 U.S. Presidents, 39 Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States and more than 130 Nobel Laureates. The mission of The Phi Beta Kappa Society is to champion education in the liberal arts and sciences, foster freedom of thought, and recognize academic excellence. UA's chapter was founded in 1851. Students are elected to membership on the basis of outstanding academic achievement in the liberal arts and sciences.
